SEGUE – Athabasca

pJBF0BNr19UDRONARIVM, DR-17, TAPE, C32, ltd. 52

Athabasca was conceived with the cassette tape medium in mind. Using sound recordings from the region of Alberta that was formerly territory of the Athabascan indigenous people, the music is a reflection on the landscape of this region and its people. Drenched in reverb and tape delay, there are sections of syncopated, glitchy beats that punctuate the flow of drones and ambience from start to finish. The music captures feelings of nostalgia, day-dreams and hazy, long summer days. To be enjoyed alone or with friends.

Segue is Jordan Sauer from Vancouver (Canada)
